Incomparable decomP

The May issue of decomP magazine has hit the shelves a couple of days early, and I am flattered and honored to share some electronic space with the likes of Ethel Rohan, Peter Cherches, J.A. Tyler, and many exceptional others.

An extra-special thanks to Jason Jordan, who knows a good beard when he sees one.

Be sure to take a peek at No Means Water Balloon.

Going back to the Well(s), Brandi-style

Happy Monday, all.

I recently found myself submitting uncontrollably to Brandi Wells Review again. What can I say? The place is fun, and Brandi is so damn nice.

Read Mr. Peterson and the Bully Boy today!

Super-sized thanks to Brandi Wells.

More Postcard Fun

Well, I couldn't resist. I had to submit another piece to Postcard Shorts. The name of this tune is Getting Happy.

Thanks again to the editor.

Readers: Take a peek.

Writers: What are you waiting for?

Go Celtics.

Rainy Day Flasher

Sometimes I like rain.

Flashers in the rain.....this is going nowhere quickly.

This one's called Apex Park.

Get yourself a membership. Or be doomed to drool over my author's page for all eternity.

Many thanks again to Ruthie and crew. Good times.

Postcard(s) from the Edge

I ate a value meal from McDonald's last night. And it was delicious. It made me revisit my idea that not all instant gratification is bad. I'll revisit this idea again when my feet start glowing radioactive from the French Fries.

This brings me to Postcard Shorts. Is it instant gratification? Almost. I happened upon this lovely little place while sucking the remainder of my orange soda through a chewed straw. I'm happy I did.

They publish "Postcard size" fiction of 250 words. And they'll publish pretty much anything, as my story Soul Mates will show.

But it's fun. And certainly worth it. So the next time you find yourself dominating a Whopper near your computer, slide on over and see what you can snap off for Postcard Shorts. You'll feel good about it. I promise.

Many thanks to Postcard's editor, Richard, for the love and the quickness. Good man.

Full of Crow: Exceptional People doing Exceptional Things

I really like Full of Crow.

Yes. Yes I do. When I think of all things independent, in terms of art, hell, even in terms of people, I get excited. It reminds me of that old saying, "Things get done by doing." Is that an old saying? Anyway--

Full of Crow has done it. Strong, bold, and disarmingly B & W, this place exemplifies independent.

But enough rambling from me. Take a look for yourself.

Oh, yeah- and don't forget to take a peek at We Three Are Me. By me.

Tremendous thanks to the creators of Full of Crow for turning me into a spouting moron. I appreciate it. Truly.

I Predict a WORD RIOT

The Kaiser Chiefs almost got it right.

The new edition of WORD RIOT has pushed its way into the room. Its pockets are filled with fiction, poetry, interviews, and more. And... me.

So buy it a beer and let it tell you some tales. But let me tell you Ugly Woman as Elixir. That's right- strap on your headset and let me click in your ears for 7 minutes. Remind me not to drink milk before reading aloud.

Endless thanks to WORD RIOT and Jackie Corley. I'm honored to be on board.

Wamack: A Journal of the Arts

New, fun, and featuring me.

Instant gratification never tasted so good. Enjoy Engaging the Flame with a mug of green tea. Or a shot of whiskey.

Thanks to Grant Wamack for keeping it weird. Rock the rock on.

tulip don't play games

As Monday closes, and the streetlights pop on, a little story called Hubert comes out to play at tulip.

I tried to channel the great Hubert Selby, Jr. on this one. Did it work? I don't know. But I had fun writing it. And it'll take you all of 30 seconds to read.

I'd like to thank the editors at tulip for letting Hubert run around in their house. He's a good kid. Sometimes.

Goodnight, everyone.

Oh, Ramble, Me

Folded Word Press wears the "funny" crown today. I recently "sat" down with them for the infamous TEN, an interview designed to probe a writer's innermost secrets.

I tried to hold back as much as I could, but alas, I grew weak. Read my rambling ramble here.

My knees go wobbly for Zebra Cakes and chocolate milk.

Thanks again to J.S. Graustein and Jessie Carty.

On a side note, I have a giant frog made from recycled plastic bottles. Jealous?

Bartleby Snopes

Well, gang, now it is officially Easter. I hope you had/are having a good one.

If you can find the time between egg hunts and the ham hoedown, please be sure to take a look at the freshly updated Bartleby Snopes. You can find a tasty new tale by me here.

To all the bunnies out there: Lettuce be Free.

Many, many thanks to Nathaniel Tower, founder and editor of Bartleby Snopes, for giving Jared a wonderful home.

Ruthie's Club: Wah-Wah-We-Wah

Wah-Wah-We-Wah. I had to write it twice.

Ruthie's Club is an adult site dedicated to publishing the finest erotic stories out there. However, in addition to the stories, they also showcase jaw-dropping artwork.

Your humble and sometimes filthy-minded narrator was lucky enough to find his way in through the back window. A new flash piece called "Borrowed Love" is now live at the site, with a few more pieces to come. Check out my author's page.

I encourage you to take the free tour. Make sure you put your seatbelt on. If you survive the ride, then think about purchasing a membership. It's guilty fun at its best. Ruthie's Club is a playground for adults.

Many thanks again to the editors. Wah-Wah-We-Wah.

Stumbling upon the Random

I enjoy random things. They are good. Recently, I stumbled upon a random, and wonderful, new literary review. It's called the Brandi Wells Review, and she vows to publish anything that's sent to her. So far, she's keeping to her word.

In only a few short days, the review is filling with exceptional pieces by exceptional writers. I'm pleased and honored to be a part of it. Be sure to take a peek at my new piece, The Joker.

And be sure to send something her way.

Many thanks to Brandi Wells. Amazing. Truly.
