From the Trash Heap #3

The Pain of Poetry

I asked a friend what he thought poetry was.

“Let me show you,” he said, then he ordered two beers. He was quiet for a moment, studying the label.

"I love you," he said.

While I was blushing he smashed a bottle over my head.

LOVE this. When you say "from the trash heap," does that mean no one picked it up?

Thanks, J. I like that one too.

..."Trash Heap" is material that either didn't get picked up or I never bothered to send out. Generally small stuff. Gotta keep the blog somewhat active.

That's what I think poetry is too, except after smashing the bottle over the person's head you have to "glass" your friend, which is jamming the jagged remains that are still in your hand into your friend's face. I mean, only if you REALLY REALLY love them, tho.

My word verification was "booigh."
