This morning I woke up to some awesomeness. First I saw blue sky. Then I saw Caleb J Ross's review of When the Cats Razzed the Chickens & Other Stories at Outsider Writers Collective. Check out Caleb's words HERE.
So this morning I'm all about thanks. Thanks to everyone who's supported Razzed in one way or another. You cats are superheros. I'm talking to you, Caleb J Ross, Ben Tanzer, Cynthia Reeser, Ethel Rohan, Dorothee Lang, Matt DeBenedictis, Teresa Houle, Tia Prouhet, Jason Jordan, Eric Beeny, Lynn Alexander, Jessie Carty, Greg Santos, Roxane Gay, Audri Sousa, Jason Behrends, Cooper Renner, xTx, J.S. Graustein, friends & family & many many others. I owe you all a beer. Maybe I'll just buy a keg. I'll even spring for the good stuff. No swill for you cats.

Black (& Wet) Friday

Buy Meg Pokrass's chapbook. It has art by Cooper Renner and I'm sure it's going to be cool. You don't even have to leave the house to buy it.

Tuesday News
It's easier to see how things are done than to explain how they're done. Folded Word Press has recently released a video on the making of its first signature series chapbook, Jessie Carty's poetry collection The Wait of Atom. It's also a good idea to give the potential buyer a sense of what they're buying. And if this video doesn't convince you that your money is going to be well spent, I don't know what will.
The Wait of Atom's official release date is today, right now. You can purchase it as an ebook at the Kindle Store and at Mobipocket.com. You can also purchase it as a handcrafted chapbook. Um. Yes. I'd do that. And please bear in mind that my short fiction collection When the Cats Razzed the Chickens & Other Stories (official release November 19th, 2009) will be crafted with the same exact care and precision. I doubt you'll find chapbooks of this caliber anywhere else.
You can order the print versions HERE.
Wow. So that happened.

Next, Pat King of Outsider Writers Collective was kind enough to interview me and xTx about our collaborative project SHUDDER PAGEANT. You can read the interview HERE. Big thanks to Pat and OWC. Also big thanks to Caleb J Ross of OWC for coming through in the clutch. Caleb's short story collection Charactered Pieces is available for pre-order HERE. Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it.

If you haven't checked out SHUDDER PAGEANT, it will forever be available as a free pdf & mp3 download HERE and HERE.

A Rocket in My Pocket & Yes
A few shouts.
This past week I received two(2) outstanding pieces of mail.
MLP sent along the chapbook I am richard simmons by Ben Tanzer. It's a pocket sized chapbook that carries a big punch. B-Tanz (I hope he doesn't mind me calling him that) delivers with speed, deftness, humor, and heart. I'm glad I picked it up, and I'm also glad I subscribed to the MLP chapbook series for 2010. The lineup is ridiculous, and I know I'll be happy.
And I also received Prick of the Spindle's first print offering, the Fiction Open Competition No. 1. Wow. I read it this morning and...wow. Dark, haunting, beautiful. Perfect. Go get.
I should also mention that Full of Crow has gone completely animal, in the best way possible. Fiction, poetry, reviews, interviews, ebooks, print, you name it, they're doing it.

Closing bullets:
- Thanks to all those who've contributed to my very modest video series Mel Bosworth Reads Things. And thanks to those who've been watching. The response has been good, and I'm looking forward to tapping many shoulders this winter and beyond.
- Blue Print Review has been buzzing this autumn. If you missed Issue #22 re/visit/cycle/turn, do check it out. They're on Fictionaut now too.
- Few, if any, do it better than PANK. I don't know what else to say about that.
- Teresa Houle goes dragon.
- Tia Prouhet goes green.
- Folded Word Press goes chapbook.
- This Alaska in Winter song makes me think of last autumn. Slow down, time. Slow down.
